MAX Environmental is a Pittsburgh-based environmental services company that offers hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste transportation, treatment, disposal, analytical, environmental remediation and construction services. MAX operates two treatment, storage and disposal facilities (TSDFs) in southwestern Pennsylvania. MAX manages the largest volume of hazardous waste in the eastern United States and specializes in the treatment and disposal of Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Dust.
The company, which was established in 1957, has treated more than 1 billion gallons of liquid waste and over the past 15 years has become a leader in the treatment and disposal of hazardous soil and chrome ore processing residue (COPR) generated by government agencies and Fortune 1000 corporations. Customers include the U.S. EPA, PADEP, the Departments of Army, Navy and Energy, as well as contractors, land developers and environmental consultants.
